Built inside a real operation, refined by real challenges, and opened up to an industry that needed it.

Brad Minsley and Cliff Minsley, Brothers and Co-Founders, were running 10 Federal and staring down a problem that anyone managing properties at scale will recognize - tenants needed 24/7 remote access to their units, but having staff physically present to service a location around the clock was expensive and unsustainable. They looked for a solution worth buying and couldn't find one, so they did what operators do: they built it themselves.


What the self-storage industry needed was a lock that could run itself - no batteries, no Bluetooth, no lost keys - reliable enough for facilities that never close and affordable enough to deploy at scale. DaVinci Lock was designed to do exactly that, tested inside their own portfolio with their own money on the line.

What happened next wasn't part of the original plan. Competitors started seeking interest- operators facing the same challenges who had heard what DaVinci was doing and wanted in. They opened it up to the industry, and the product found its footing fast. DaVinci Lock is now used in one out of every seven self-storage facilities in the country, including every Public Storage location.


From there, the technology kept evolving. What began as an overlock access solution grew into a full onsite renter interface deployed across every unit type - vacants, occupied units, the entire portfolio - and expanded into a broader ecosystem through companion products Tenant Connect and The G.O.A.T. The same core insight that drove the original design, that operators shouldn't have to choose between accessibility and efficiency, continues to shape everything DaVinci builds.
